One of my favorite questions that I get from homeowners is, “How much should my electric bill be?”

This is very, very rough math, but your electricity bill should be about 10 percent of the square footage of your home. So, if you have a 2,000 sq. ft. home, your electricity bill should be around $200. Now, you don’t want to look at your bill during the hottest months of the year. Your bill will be a little higher at that time. But at a normal time of the year, it should sit around 10%.

If live in a 2,000 sq. ft. home and are paying $300-$400 during a normal month, you’ll want to give the On Time Experts a call, so we can see what’s going on.

Nowadays, more efficient systems are coming out that will cool your house faster and more efficiently. You’re not going to overpay the electric company. So, if you think you are, you definitely want to figure out why.

When we come out twice a year for your maintenance checks, we clean your coils, make sure the filters are changed, and that your ductwork’s nice and tight. We do that to ensure that your system is running correctly and that you’re not overpaying the utility company. If you haven’t had regular maintenance this year, give the On Time Experts a call at 469-336-3435.
